An introduction from Brian Hayes - Trust Administrator

You may not know about the NGO Charitable Trust, as it is a fairly new body but already it has made a difference to the way that schoolchildren, many of them from urban backgrounds, look upon gamekeeping.

Take for example our stand at the "Countryside Live" event in the London Borough of Hounslow. Three professional gamekeepers and their wives, partners and helpers met and spent time with over 3500 children from schools in inner London. Our stand has been designed voluntarily by a professional teacher, to link into the National Curriculum and to show the children as much as possible about the life and work of a gamekeeper.

We spoke to the teachers as well as their students. There were ferrets and working dogs to handle and the thrill and enthusiasm for what they were doing was written on so many happy young faces.

I think this is really worthwhile work and I would like to ask you, please, to help the NGO Charitable Trust to do more of it by making a donation, however small. Most of our work is done by volunteers and our expenditure is low, so even a most modest amount can make a huge difference to our ability to reach more children like those at the Countryside Live events. Furthermore, because we are a Charity, if you fill out a Gift Aid form we can claim back the tax you have already paid for every £1 you give. This way, together we can make the Government pay for schools education on gamekeeping

Please use our Standing Order Mandate and Gift Aid forms. Please complete both and post them back.

Thank you, on behalf of all gamekeepers and countrymen, for your vision and support. I can assure you your donation will be really well used.
